E16 with Honeywell vista. Ethernet communicator setup with Protegus app.
The Trikdis E16 Ethernet communicator can cooperate with Paradox, DSC, and other alarm panels by communicating directly through the data bus or serial port.
Data transmission to remote monitoring and to the user is done via wired internet network through the Protegus 2 Mobile and Web application. Using the communicator, the owner can remotely arm or disarm the alarm system from their mobile phone or browser and enables the control and monitoring of additional connected devices.
The Trikdis E16 * and E16T communicators are excellent replacement for the Paradox IP150+ IP module and DSC ENVISA LINK4 Ethernet communicator.
What does Trikdis offer?
- Reliable operation
- Free Android, Iphone and web applications
- *Direct connection to the alarm panel - no manufacturer besides the original can do this
- Remote control (arming / disarming)
Alarm panels connectable via data bus or serial port
The Trikdis E16, G16, and GET can be used with all alarm panels listed below. The great benefit using the special Trikdis communicators, that events are received via the data bus or serial port.
Control panels marked red can be controlled directly from the serial port / data bus without any further wiring.
Control panels marked black means these control panels get the events from the serial port / data bus, but for remotely controlling the alarm system, key-switch zones and additional wiring is required
Magellan MG5000, MG5050, MG5050+*, MG5050E
DIGIPLEX EVO48, NE96, EVO96, EVO192*, EVOHD* (*Fw. 7.50 or above)
ESPRIT E55, 728ULT, 738ULT
Firmware PARADOX control panels, which are directly controlled, must be V.4 or higher.

For not supported and other manufacturers control panels, use the E16T communicator with telephone line (TIP RING) connection.
Main Features:
- Ethernet communicator for wired internet communication, compatible with major manufacturers' popular alarm panels.
- Uniquely, the communicator can be connected not to TIP RING but to the data bus or serial port, meaning message reading and transmission take less than one second.
- Free Protegus 2 server, so there is no need for static or dynamic DNS.
User Features:
- The owner of the alarm system will receive information about system events in the free Protegus 2 Mobile and Web application.
- "Push" messages and audible alerts for event and alarm notifications.
- Remote arming and disarming.
Controllable Outputs:
- 3 flexibly selectable contacts that can function as inputs or outputs.
- RS485 port for other compatible expansion modules and devices.
- Outputs can be controlled from the Protegus 2 application.
- Control of connected devices (lighting, gates, ventilation, heating, irrigation, etc.).
Quick Installation
- Settings can be saved to a file that can be used on another device.
- Quick and easy configuration via USB or remotely using the TrikdisConfig configuration software or the Protegus 2 application after initial setup.
- 2 access levels for configuring and controlling the communicator: Administrator, Installer.
Remote Monitoring Connection:
- The module transmits system events to the remote monitoring service in Contact ID code format over IP.
- Compatible with universal SIA DC-09 and SUR-GUARD TL150 receivers.
- In case of primary remote monitoring channel loss, automatic switch to the second backup channel.
- Reporting to up to two different remote monitoring receivers. Both receivers have a backup channel.
You'll Need a Cable for Connection
Connection to Data Bus or Serial Port, What Does This Mean?
In this case, the communicator is practically taught to understand the alarm panel's own language (one-way communication). Just like operators or other peripheral devices, the communicator sees events and will transmit the appropriate information according to the settings.
Direct Control
In the case of directly controllable panels, the communicator not only receives notifications from the panel but also a part of the functions available on the keypad becomes accessible (bidirectional communication).
- Activation / deactivation of the entire system or partition using a user code
- Detection of zone statuses
- Zone bypass
- Automatic mapping of partitions and zones
